Mrs.Ophelia Barreto

Mrs.Ophelia Barreto,an alumnus of Bedekar College,Thane. She is a National Volley-Ball Player and had represented Maharashtra team as the captain. She has 25 years of teaching experience and was a Maharashtra State board examiner (subject-English) for the past 15 years. She is now a moderator of the Maharashtra State board (subject-English) from last 4 years.

Her perseverance, diligence and conscientiousness brought her into limelight and her career graph bounced when she was made, the Principal of Podar International School (SSC), Santacruz, Mumbai. As an able administrator she leaves no stone unturned to make this School a model School, a platform, where students imbibe values and morals.

She motivates not only the students but also her entire staff to do their best and assess each ones strengths and use them to get the best out of him or her, promoting confidence and optimistic attitudes.

My views about Early childhood India.

I strongly believe in the statement "Children are the future of the Nation" and the only way to ensure a better future is by educating children.

It is been proven scientifically that children absorb more at an early age so education helps the child to develop mental, physical, emotional, and social growth. As the foundations for successful careers are laid down at a young age, the child's mind must be exposed to the right mix of fun and education in its formative years.

Education is both, the means as well as the end. It helps to empower children and evolve them as better citizens.
