Indian Women Scientists Association



Indian Women Scientists' Association (IWSA) is a voluntary, non political, secular organisation registered in 1973, under Society's Reg. Act. IWSA has ten branches all over India and it's head quarters is located in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The organisation's infrastructure provides excellent facilities - hostel, day care centre and nursery. In addition, IWSA HQ runs acomputer training centre,health care centre, science library, a pre-primary teacher's training programme , besides regular monthly programmes. All these activities are self-supporting.

Objectives Of IWSA :

  • To develop scientific temper in society.
  • To promote scientific accomplishments in different areas of Science & Technology (S & T).
  • To promote understanding of economic and social problems of women with science education.
  • To be a representative body for women working in natural and physical sciences, including applied sciences,like engineering and medicine.
