Indrani Malkani (nee) Mukherjee, graduated from Loreto College in 1976. She was posted in Delhi as the Conventions and Conference Manager of The Taj Palace Convention Hotel. She coordinated various National and International conventions including the International Customs Cooperation Council meeting, various World Congresses, World Economic Forum (from the 1st meeting),World Aviation Safety and Education Congress, organized by the Indian Women Pilots Association and the 99's (International Body). She became involved in Aviation and secured a Private Pilot's license. She became a life member of the IWPA (Indian Women Pilots Association) and is also a member of the Aero Club of India.

Having settled in Mumbai, she has done pioneering work in improving the life of Mumbai citizens and is deeply involved with civil society issues. Ms Indrani is a Sitting Member in the LokAdalat of the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Maharashtra since 2005.
