Asha Singh has been teaching at the Department of Human Development and Childhood Studies at the Lady Irwin College since 1985. Trained in Child Development (Univ of Delhi), Psychopedagogy (Canada) as well as Classical Dance and Journalism.

Multiplicity of interests and training has opened diverse opportunities for being associated with institutions as well as working with children. National Bal Bhavan, Mobile Creches, Delhi and Studying Socialization Practices in various occupation groups in Northern India were field and community based works. Also associated as Advisor to Theatre in Education Co at the National School of Drama, Research and Content Director for Galli Galli SimSim at Sesame India. Extensively working with teachers in schools using theatre as a source for pedagogy.
