Amole Gupte is an Indian screenwriter who made his Bollywood debut with the 2005 film, The Hangman. His rise to fame came with the 2007 Aamir Khan starrer Taare Zameen Par for which he handled the responsibility of creative director and screenwriter. For Taare Zameen Par, Amol Gupte bagged every possible Bollywood award including one Filmfare Award, two Star Screen Awards, one V.Shantaram Award and one Zee Cine Award.

He has also written the screenplay of Vishal Bhardwaj's Kaminey and will also be playing a pivotal role in the film.
