Free-lance Consultant

Adarsh Sharma is presently a free-lance Consultant in the field of Early Childhood Education and human development and has worked with national and international organizations / agencies on short and long term assignments.

With a Masters in Human Development and Family Studies from MS University of Baroda, she received doctoral degree from University of Delhi and undertook post doctoral research as a Fulbright Scholar at Pennsylvania State University in 1991. Her professional career spans over a period of four decades, she taught graduate and postgraduate courses at University of Delhi and G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. After working for over two decades at the National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD) a premier organization of Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) she retired as its Director in 2005.She supported setting up of the Center for Early Childhood Education and Development (CECED) at Ambedker University of Delhi in 2010.

Adarsh Sharma’s dedication to the field of Early Childhood is long standing. She has served on several special committees set by GOI related to policy formulation, planning and programming of ECE interventions. She is the Country Coordinator of Asia Pacific Regional Network for Early Childhood (ARNEC).Widely travelled in India and abroad for academic pursuits. Sharma has contributed articles/chapters in scientific journals and books and was on the Editorial Board of a Global Journal Childhood of Norwegian Institute of Child Research and SAGE.
